CLAY PLAY WORKSHOP

Our November CLAY PLAY with MAGGI WORKSHOP is here! This new program offers a series of ceramic workshops for children and adults of all abilities! Each session, Maggi and Shannon will introduce two fun techniques appropriate for artisans ages 3 and up! All guests will have the opportunity to create custom treasures and lots of new memories! We hope you will join us on Sunday, November 5th from 1pm to 3pm at Our Sensory Farm to create a one of a kind Nature Inspired Serving Plate and Holiday Ornament.

All registered guests will receive a Clay Play Workshop Kit and hands-on, step by step instruction. This workshop is appropriate for adults and children ages 3 and older with all abilities and skill levels. First, guests will tour Our Sensory Farm and the Adventure Forest to collect and gather inspiration before setting up at a workstation. Maggi will provide simple instructions while our team of Clay Play volunteers provide additional individual support. Once the pieces are assembled, workshop participants can choose from a variety of glazes to further customize their Nature Plate and Ornament.

After the workshop, guests will leave their artwork with Maggi so that it can be fired in the kiln at the studio. Pieces will be complete and ready for pickup (at OSF) or shipping approximately 3 weeks after the event. We are so excited about this new workshop series and are here to help in any way we can. Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy: 

Our Sensory Farm closely monitors the weather leading up to all scheduled events. If there is a concern regarding inclement weather and the safety of our guests, we will notify all registered guests by email and/or text regarding any changes to the date/time of the event. If OSF cancels a workshop due to weather concerns, guests can choose to transfer their registration to the rescheduled date or receive a refund.

What should we wear/bring?

-Closed toe shoes are mandatory when visiting Our Sensory Farm.

-Be sure to check the weather prior to your visit. We are an outdoor venue and advise you to dress in layers when it’s cold, and protect your skin from the sun when it's hot.

-Optional Items: refillable water bottle, hat, bug spray, sunscreen

-Weapons of any kind, real or fake, are not permitted at Our Sensory Farm.

-Please notify us ahead of your visit if you plan to bring a service animal.

I would like to attend the workshop with my 5 year old and 9 year old. Do we all need to register? Will we each receive supplies and get to make our own plate and ornament?

All guests ages 3 and older are welcome to attend our workshop. You would register all three (3) members of your family. Each of you would receive a Clay Play Workshop Kit to create your own plate and ornament.

What facilities are available at Our Sensory Farm?

You will have access to a covered picnic area, shaded seating, ADA accessible restroom, handwashing station and drinking water (please bring your own refillable bottle).

Is the farm accessible for wheelchairs, strollers, wagons, etc?

Can we bring food/snacks/drinks to Our Sensory Farm?

Yes, you are welcome to bring snacks and/or drinks to enjoy during our workshops. We ask that you avoid peanut products and glass bottles/containers.
